For the first time, the PA legislature has voted to extend its 6% sales tax to cultural institutions and entertainment venues. Why doesn’t that include movie or sporting events? Hmm.

Once again, the Performing Arts gets screwed. It’s always the first department to get cut when budget concerns arise. My theater is funded by the City so it’ll have an easier time acquiring funding to replace its wireless system, but what about the little guy? This is sink or swim time.
